Africa’s leading table tennis stars are preparing for a defining challenge at the 2025 WTT China Smash in Beijing, a tournament regarded as one of the toughest on the international circuit.
The competition, scheduled from September 25 to October 5, 2025, will be staged at Shougang Park and offers a prize fund of more than two million US dollars. With a 64 player singles main draw, competitive doubles action, and qualification rounds that have already seen surprise results, the event is expected to deliver drama from start to finish.
For African contenders, the mission is clear: to fight for a historic first Grand Smash title. Achieving it on Chinese soil, against the strongest players in the sport, would mark an unprecedented milestone for the continent.
