9th National Youth Games: Updated Competition Schedule Released

The updated competition schedule for the 9th National Youth Games, Asaba 2025, has been released, with events officially kicking off on August 27, 2025, at the Stephen Keshi Stadium.
According to the timetable, team arrivals are expected on August 26, followed by athlete screening the next day. The opening ceremony is scheduled for Thursday, August 28, at the Stephen Keshi Stadium, while the closing ceremony will take place on Saturday, September 6.
Competitions will run across multiple venues in Asaba, featuring over 30 sporting events. Below is a breakdown of some key events:
Stephen Keshi Stadium will host Athletics, Deaf Athletics, Para Athletics, and Karate.
The Indoor Sports Hall at Stephen Keshi Stadium will feature Badminton, Table Tennis, and Para Table Tennis.
The Multi-Purpose Halls will host Taekwondo, Judo, Wrestling, Chess, Ayo, Kickboxing, and Scrabble.
The Weightlifting Gym is designated for Kungfu, Para Powerlifting, and Weightlifting.
Squash Court, Government House/Asaba Sports Club will host Squash, Tennis, Fives, and Basketball.
