Achakpo Confirms Ogun State Fully Set for Historic Furst West Africa Para Games

Preparations for the maiden edition of the West Africa Para Games have been concluded, according to Victor Achakpo, Chairman of the Local Organising Committee (LOC).
Addressing journalists at the official press conference in Abeokuta, Ogun State, Achakpo disclosed that the groundbreaking event will welcome more than 700 athletes from across West Africa, with Team Nigeria presenting a strong contingent of over 190 participants.
He commended both the Federal Government and the Ogun State Government for their robust support, noting that their commitment has been instrumental in bringing the inaugural regional para sports competition to life.
The 1st West Africa Para Games is expected to showcase exceptional talent and strengthen unity across the sub-region as athletes converge in Ogun State for the landmark championship.
