Ahmad Ghali Seals Transfer to Sigma Olomouc

Written by on 3 — 09

Kano-born winger Ahmad Ghali has completed a permanent move to Czech First League side Sigma Olomouc from Slovan Liberec.

The 25-year-old Nigerian signed a three-year contract with an additional one-year option, keeping him at the club until June 2028. Reports indicate that the transfer fee is around €2 million, while his current market value is estimated at €850,000.

Ghali expressed delight at the switch, describing Sigma Olomouc as a club with “great ambitions.” He noted that the opportunity to feature in the 2025/26 UEFA Conference League played a key role in his decision.

“I am very happy to be here and excited to join a team with such big goals. The chance to play in Europe is a dream come true, and I believe together we can achieve great things,” Ghali said after putting pen to paper.

Born on June 23, 2000, in Kano State, Ghali previously played for Nigerian side MFM FC before moving to Europe. He has now become one of the notable Nigerian exports making their mark in Czech football.
