Novak Djokovic has sent a strong warning ahead of his U.S. Open semifinal clash with Carlos Alcaraz, declaring he will do everything possible to stop the much anticipated final between Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner.

The 38 year old Serbian battled past Taylor Fritz in a heated quarter final encounter, maintaining his chase for a record 25th Grand Slam crown. Having already reached the last four at all majors this season, Djokovic is determined to finally push past the semifinal stage in 2025.

Speaking after his victory, Djokovic acknowledged the hype surrounding Alcaraz and Sinner but made it clear he has other intentions:

“Everyone knows they are the best two players right now. Many people expect to see them in the final, but I’ll do my best to change that narrative.”

While admitting Sinner still has matches to win before thinking about the final, Djokovic praised both youngsters for their dominant performances so far in New York.

Despite being the veteran in the mix, Djokovic insisted he is not intimidated by the rising stars:

“I’m not stepping on court with a white flag. That’s not who I am. I’ve been consistent all year, especially at the Slams, and I believe I can match Carlos if I play my best.”

Djokovic vs. Alcaraz (Semifinal): A classic battle of experience against youthful power, with Djokovic eager to prove age is still just a number.
