Dutch Expert Tom Sanders Arrives In Owerri For Heartland FC

Heartland FC has taken a major step in its rebuilding project with the arrival of renowned Dutch football consultant Tom Sanders, who is in Owerri to evaluate the squad and help open fresh international opportunities for the club.
Sanders, a veteran with more than 25 years of work across African football, observed the team’s training session on arrival and spoke highly of what he saw:
“My first impression is very encouraging. There is genuine talent here. With consistency and hard work, this team can achieve a lot.”
Technical Manager Emmanuel Amuneke (MFR) said the collaboration is part of a strategic plan to return Heartland to the top of African football:
“Heartland is a big club. We once played in the 2009 CAF Champions League final. This partnership is a step toward reclaiming that level.”
Imo FA Chairman Barr. Ifeanyi Dike also applauded the move, noting that it reflects the kind of Africa–Europe football relationships that has produced success stories globally.
