Efan Ekoku Applauds Arokodare’s Impact Despite Wolves’ Defeat to Fulham

Written by on 2 — 11

Former Bournemouth forward Efan Ekoku has praised Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare for his bright cameo in Wolverhampton Wanderers’ 3-0 loss to Fulham at Craven Cottage.

Wolves struggled to find any rhythm for much of the game. Arokodare came off the bench in the 64th minute and, although he’s still waiting for his first Premier League goal, his performance caught Ekoku’s attention.

“Arokodare, he’s actually held the ball quite well,” Ekoku said during post game analysis. “There’s pressure from the center halves, but he’s done well since he appeared.”

The 23 year old striker, who joined Wolves in the summer, has made seven league appearances this season, totaling just over 200 minutes of action. While the goals haven’t come yet, his physicality and link up play are starting to earn him recognition.

For a Wolves team still searching for consistency after a sluggish start to the campaign, Arokodare’s flashes of promise could be a positive sign, a hint that the Nigerian might soon translate effort into goals.
