The international friendly between Egypt national football team and Nigeria national football team , originally scheduled for December 14, has been rescheduled to December 16.
According to officials, the decision follows a recent ruling by FIFA requiring clubs to release their players to national teams only from December 15 onward, making the original date unworkable for both sides.
The vice president of the Egyptian Football Association (EFA), Khaled El-Darandaly, said the postponement was necessary to ensure the availability of key players, including high profile stars like Mohamed Salah and Omar Marmoush.
As a result, the scheduling changes have also disrupted the travel and preparation plans of the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) for the match.
