FIFPRO Announces 26-Man Shortlist for 2025 Men’s World 11

Written by on 29 — 10

The race for the 2025 FIFPRO Men’s World 11 is heating up as the global players’ union unveiled its official 26-man shortlist, celebrating the standout performers between July 15, 2024, and August 3, 2025.

Chosen entirely by professional footballers worldwide, the FIFPRO World 11 remains one of football’s most respected honors — voted by the players, for the players.

Among the goalkeepers, Alisson Becker, Thibaut Courtois, and Gianluigi Donnarumma headline the competition. The defensive lineup features heavyweights like Virgil van Dijk, Achraf Hakimi, Trent Alexander-Arnold, Marquinhos, Nuno Mendes, William Saliba, and Barcelona’s rising star Pau Cubarsí.

In midfield, the talent is stacked with Jude Bellingham, Kevin De Bruyne, Luka Modrić, João Neves, Pedri, Federico Valverde, Vitinha, and Cole Palmer, who earns his first-ever nomination after a breakout year at Chelsea.

The attacking shortlist reads like a dream: Lionel Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappé, Erling Haaland, Mohamed Salah, Ousmane Dembélé, Raphinha, and teenage sensation Lamine Yamal — all recognized for their brilliance and consistency over the year.

FIFPRO confirmed that the final World 11, featuring one goalkeeper, three defenders, three midfielders, and four forwards, will be revealed on Monday, November 3, 2025, at 2 PM CET.
