Nigeria U20 national team captain, Daniel Bamayei, has completed a move to Slovenian top-flight club ND Primorje Ajdovščina, sealing the deal on transfer deadline day.

The highly rated midfielder has been a key figure for the Flying Eagles, where his leadership qualities and consistency in the middle of the park caught the attention of European scouts. His move marks a significant step forward in his career as he begins a new chapter in Slovenia’s PrvaLiga.

Bamayei’s arrival is expected to strengthen Primorje’s midfield options as the club looks to build on its growing reputation. The 20-year-old brings both defensive stability and creative spark, qualities that will be vital as Primorje push for higher achievements in the league.

ND Primorje, nicknamed “The Red and Blacks”, is a Slovenian club based in Ajdovščina. The team plays its home matches at the Ajdovščina City Stadium, which seats just over 1,600 fans.

After being re-founded in 2011, Primorje earned promotion back to the Slovenian top flight in the 2023/24 season and finished 6th in their first campaign. Known for their commitment to youth development and sustainable growth, the club has quickly become one of the league’s most ambitious sides.
