England U16’s two legged international friendly against Italy U16 produced exciting performances from four youngsters of Nigerian heritage.
Eze David (Manchester City), Joshua Abbey (Liverpool), Faromo Adebayo (Chelsea), and Emmanuel Fejokwu (West Ham) all featured across the fixtures played on August 26 and 28, 2025.
Italy claimed the first leg 2-1, but England responded with a 2-1 win in the reverse tie. Abbey was particularly clinical, scoring in both games, while David pulled strings in midfield, Adebayo dazzled with pace on the flanks, and Fejokwu stood firm in defence.
With such standout displays, these Nigerian youngsters are already being tipped as names to watch in the future of English football.
