Ketlen Makes History As First Brazilian Female Footballer To Train Until Eighth Month Of Pregnancy

Santos striker Ketlen Wiggers has temporarily stepped away from training as she prepares to welcome her baby boy, Lucca but not before making history in Brazilian women’s football.
For the first time in the country’s women’s game, an athlete trained actively with her club up until her eighth month of pregnancy. Throughout the period, Ketlen received full medical and emotional support from Santos FC, who closely monitored her progress to ensure her well-being and that of her baby.
The 32 year old forward expressed gratitude to the club and teammates for their support, describing the experience as one of the most special moments of her career.
With Lucca’s arrival expected at the end of November, Ketlen plans to return to full activities in time for Santos’ 2026 preseason.
