Liverpool Complete Record Breaking Transfer Window With Isak Coup

Written by on 1 — 09

Liverpool have wrapped up a sensational summer transfer window, confirming five major arrivals worth over £395 million and breaking the British transfer record on Deadline Day.

The Reds’ business was headlined by the capture of Alexander Isak from Newcastle United for £125 million, a deal that could rise to £130m with add ons, making him the most expensive signing in British football history.

Isak’s arrival capped a flurry of big name signings that reshaped Liverpool’s squad:

Florian Wirtz – Joined from Bayer Leverkusen for £100m, potentially rising to £116m.

Milos Kerkez – Signed from Bournemouth for £40m.

Jeremie Frimpong – Brought in for £29.5m to strengthen the right flank.

Hugo Ekitike – Secured from Eintracht Frankfurt for £69m plus £10m add-ons (total £79m).

Alexander Isak – Deadline Day record signing from Newcastle, £125m rising to £130m.

The Deadline Day swoop for Isak is seen as a statement of intent as Liverpool look to challenge on all fronts this season.

Meanwhile, reports suggest Liverpool could still attempt to bolster their backline before the window officially closes, with Crystal Palace defender Marc Guéhi linked as a late target.

With over £395 million spent, this window marks one of the most ambitious in the club’s history and signals a new era at Anfield.
