Super Eagles midfielder Wilfred Ndidi has paid tribute to Ole Gunnar Solskjær after the Norwegian manager was dismissed by Turkish giants Beşiktaş.
Solskjær was relieved of his duties on Friday, August 29, 2025, following the club’s disappointing exit from the UEFA Conference League. Ndidi, who only joined Beşiktaş this summer after leaving Leicester City, shared a farewell message on his official Instagram account.
“We didn’t get much time to work together. Wish you all the best for the future. Thank you gaffer,” Ndidi wrote.
The Nigerian international’s move to Turkey was believed to have been influenced by Solskjær’s presence at the club. His quick message of support reflects the respect he holds for the former Manchester United boss, despite their brief spell together.
Meanwhile, Beşiktaş have swiftly appointed Sergen Yalçın as their new head coach, and Ndidi will now look to adapt under the Turkish tactician as the Black Eagles aim to turn their season around.
