Victor Osimhen continued his remarkable European form on Tuesday night, scoring twice as Galatasaray sealed a 3-1 win over Norwegian side Bodø/Glimt in the UEFA Champions League.

The Nigerian forward opened scoring in the 3rd minute before doubling Galatasaray’s lead just before the half hour mark. Yunus Akgün added a third in the 60th minute to put the game beyond reach, while Andreas Helmersen grabbed a consolation for the visitors in the closing stages.

With the brace, Osimhen has now scored nine goals in his last seven European appearances for Galatasaray, becoming the first player in the club’s history to score in seven consecutive European matches.

His recent run includes goals against top sides such as Tottenham, Dynamo Kyiv, Ajax, AZ Alkmaar, Liverpool, and Bodø/Glimt, his reputation ranks as one of Europe’s most in form strikers this season.

Galatasaray manager Okan Buruk hailed the 26 year old Nigerian as a “difference maker,” noting his work rate and composure in front of goal.

Osimhen’s latest performance also strengthens Galatasaray’s position in their Champions League group as the Turkish champions chase qualification for the knockout rounds.
