Nigeria’s rising table tennis sensation, Kuti Matthew, has been honoured with the Ethiopian Holidays Most Improved Player (Male) award at the recently concluded 2025 ITTF Africa Championships held in Tunis, Tunisia.
The young star, who is also the reigning West African Champion, proved his worth once again as one of the most promising names in African table tennis. His impressive performances played a vital role in helping Team Nigeria reach the semi finals of the continental tournament.
Kuti, who made headlines earlier this year by successfully defending his men’s singles title at the 2025 ITTF Africa West Regional Championships in Lagos, continues to rise steadily through the ranks. His ability to combine focus, composure, and precision on the table has drawn praise from fans and officials alike.
The young champion’s remarkable improvement throughout the season earned him the recognition sponsored by Ethiopian Holidays, a partner of the African Table Tennis Federation.
