Bahrain’s Edidiong Odiong produced a dazzling display of speed to clinch the women’s 200m title at the Islamic Solidarity Games, stopping the clock at 22.99s to seal a memorable sprint double.
Odiong’s blistering run powered Bahrain to a commanding 1–2 finish, with compatriot Salwa Eid Naser securing the silver medal in 23.52s after a strong chase down the home straight.
Team Nigeria’s duo, Anita Itohan Enaruna and Maria Thompson Omokwe, battled hard in a fiercely contested final. Enaruna placed 6th with 24.03s, while Omokwe finished 8th in 24.46s.
