Super Falcons Star Chinaza Uchendu Signs for Melbourne City FC

Super Falcons forward Chinaza Uchendu has completed a move to Melbourne City FC, joining the Australian club ahead of the 2025/26 A-League Women’s season.

The 27 year-old striker arrives from French side FC Nantes Féminine, where she spent last season. Uchendu, who has represented Nigeria at the highest level, brings vast international experience having previously featured for Rivers Angels (Nigeria), SC Braga (Portugal), Linköping FC (Sweden), Gyeongju KHNP (South Korea), and Galatasaray (Turkey).

Melbourne City confirmed the signing on their official website and social media platforms, describing Uchendu as a versatile attacker who will add quality and depth to their forward line.

Uchendu expressed excitement at the new challenge, stating she was eager to contribute to the club’s ambitions in the A-League Women’s competition.
