Team Lagos Deaf Athletics made a strong statement at the ongoing 9th National Youth Games in Asaba, Delta State, with their athletes putting up spirited performances across track events to secure an impressive medal haul.
On Day 1, the 100m finals produced double podium finishes for Lagos:
Boys 100m –Fabowale Akorede sprinted to a silver medal, while Ogwuchi Samuel clinched bronze.
Girls 100m –Odiah Josephine claimed silver, with Abdulwasiu Summayah taking bronze.
