Team Nigeria delivered an outstanding performance at the just-concluded World Para Powerlifting Championships held in Cairo, Egypt, finishing second overall on the medals table.
The Nigerian contingent showcased remarkable strength and national pride, securing a total of 20 medals, including 8 gold, 7 silver, and 5 bronze.
China narrowly topped the standings with 21 medals “13 gold, 4 silver, and 4 bronze” edging out Nigeria in what was a tightly contested championship.
