Wolverhampton Wanderers have completed the signing of Nigerian striker Tolu Arokodare from Belgian side KRC Genk on transfer deadline day.
The 24 year-old, who clinched the Belgian Pro League Golden Boot last season with 21 league goals and 23 in all competitions, joins Wolves on a four year deal with the option of an additional year.
Speaking after his unveiling, Arokodare made it clear that Wolves was always his preferred destination.

“It did take a while, but I’m here finally, and I’m happy to be here. I didn’t need convincing. I know the history. I want to improve and I want to progress, and help this team. It was time already… this is where I wanted to be.”
The Nigerian international, who has previously featured in Latvia, Germany, and France before making his mark in Belgium, is eager to adapt quickly to life in the Premier League.
“I can’t wait to meet the guys, to meet the coach, and to start training with the team. I can’t wait for the first game and just to be in front of the fans.”
Wolves believe Arokodare’s proven goal scoring ability and experience across Europe will make him a valuable addition to their attack for the new season.
