Christantus Uche Delighted After Completing Crystal Palace Move

Written by on 2 — 09

Crystal Palace have confirmed the signing of Nigerian midfielder Christantus Uche from Spanish side Getafe on a deadline day loan deal, which includes an obligation to buy for around €20 million.

The 21-year-old expressed his excitement after sealing the switch to Selhurst Park, describing the move as a major step in his career.

“This moment is unbelievable. I’m very lucky to be here today and this club is a big opportunity for me,” Uche told the club’s official website.

Palace chairman Steve Parish welcomed the new signing, praising the Nigerian international as one of the most promising young players in Europe.

“Christantus is an exciting young talent, who is also a full international. He has already shown his ability during his time in Spain, and we are all looking forward to seeing him thrive in South London,” Parish said.

Uche has been widely praised for his energy, physical presence, and ability to drive forward with the ball. Reports in England compare his style to a mix of Yaya Touré’s dynamism and Sadio Mané’s attacking flair, making him a valuable addition to Oliver Glasner’s squad.

The midfielder could make his debut for Palace when the Premier League returns after the ongoing international break.
