Written by on 2 — 09

Kano Pillars’ goalkeeper, Okeke Abuchi, has reflected on the team’s difficult start to the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season following their 1-1 home draw against Wikki Tourists.

The shot stopper admitted the squad felt they deserved more from their opening fixtures against Abia Warriors and Wikki Tourists, as the search for their first victory of the campaign continues.

Looking ahead to their next game, a Northern Derby against Katsina United , Abuchi underlined the importance of the encounter, vowing that the Sai Masu Gida will fight for all three points.

He also expressed gratitude to the fans for their massive turnout in the club’s first home game of the season, describing their support as a huge source of encouragement for the players.

Kano Pillars currently sit on one point after two matches and will be aiming to ignite their season when they travel to face Northern rivals Katsina United.
