Nigeria’s teenage goalkeeping prodigy, Ebenezer Ifeanyi Harcourt, continues to attract attention on the international stage after his standout displays for the Flying Eagles.
At just 15 years old, Harcourt was the youngest player at the Africa U-20 Cup of Nations (AFCON U20), where he delivered commanding performances between the posts. He played a decisive role in Nigeria’s run to the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile, keeping multiple clean sheets and saving two penalties in a dramatic shootout victory over Senegal.
Earlier this year, the teenager also made history when he became the youngest player ever to feature for Nigeria’s senior national team, keeping a clean sheet in their African Nations Championship (CHAN) win over Congo. His record breaking debut surpassed the milestone previously set by Femi Opabunmi.
