Nigerian star, Pallas Kunaiyi Akpanah has been honoured with the Foreign Most Valuable Player (MVP) award in the Italian Women’s Basketball League (LBF), capping off an outstanding season of dominance and consistency.

The 26 year old, who starred for Faenza Basket Project, impressed throughout the 2024–25 season with her relentless rebounding, defensive intensity, and scoring efficiency, attributes that made her one of the league’s most impactful foreign players.

Kunaiyi Akpanah’s performances were instrumental in Faenza’s strong showing in the campaign, often posting double doubles and leading statistical charts in rebounds and efficiency ratings.

The former Northwestern University standout has continued to grow since turning professional, previously excelling in Belgium before making her mark in Italy.

Reacting to the award, Kunaiyi Akpanah expressed gratitude to her teammates, coaches, and fans for their unwavering support, dedicating the recognition to “every Nigerian girl who dreams big.”
