Champions Beyond Limits Shine Early as High-Intensity Clashes Mark Lagos Supremacy Cup Kickoff

Defending champions Beyond Limits began their Lagos Supremacy Cup campaign with a hard-fought 3–2 victory over Broad City in a thrilling opener at the Legacy Pitch on Monday morning.
Gabriel Labi set the tone early, putting the Ikenne-based side ahead just seven minutes into the encounter with a composed finish. Broad City responded swiftly, as Jeremiah Christopher equalized in the 17th minute before doubling his tally from a rebound to turn the game on its head.
Ali Abdulazeez restored parity for Beyond Limits with a superb strike, paving the way for a dramatic finale. Daniel Arierhi stepped up in the crucial moment, netting the decisive goal to secure all three points for the reigning champions.
Another captivating fixture saw Ikorodu City and Mavlon FC share the spoils in a 2–2 draw. Mavlon raced to a two-goal advantage following an own goal by Onyia Cornelius and a calm finish from Ezekiel Ogwu. Ikorodu City nearly reduced the deficit earlier, but Ezekiel Samuel’s penalty was expertly saved by goalkeeper Rufai Abubakar.
The Oga Boys, however, mounted an impressive comeback through Orji Emmanuel and Shittu Hammed to earn a well-deserved point.
Dosu Joseph FC also left their mark on Day 1, clinching a late 2–1 win over 36 Lion in another closely contested fixture.
In the day’s final match, Tripple 44 secured a 2–1 victory over Real Sapphire. Abubakar Muhammed opened the scoring inside 11 minutes, before Ijele Daniel leveled the match with a brilliant solo effort. Tripple 44’s pace and attacking flair paid off again as Bitrus Shedrach rounded the goalkeeper to score the winner.
