Gunning for a historic fifth consecutive title, Safety Babes were irresistible from the onset, storming to a 23–11 halftime lead and tightening their dominance in the second half to completely overwhelm their opponents.
Earlier in the day, Rima Queens of Sokoto showcased resilience in a tightly contested clash, edging Rivers Queens 33–31 after taking a narrow 16–15 advantage into the break. Omo Ogiefo Academy of Benin City extended their impressive form with a 29–22 triumph over Defender Babes, while 2018 champions Plateau Peacocks comfortably dispatched Imo Grasshoppers 30–16.
In the men’s category, Niger United were handed a 10–0 walkover following the no-show of Adamawa Warriors. COAS Shooters rebounded in style, overpowering Lagos Seasiders 36–28 after a strong 21–11 first-half performance.
Rima Strikers proved dominant in their own fixture, sealing a 28–19 win against De Defenders, while defending champions Tojemarine Academy endured a nervy finish to edge Osun United 18–17 in a highly tactical, low-scoring matchup. League leaders Safety Shooters capped the day’s action with a composed 28–17 victory over Correction Boys, having led 17–11 at halftime.
