Moroccan giant RS Berkane have officially arrived in Uyo ahead of their CAF Champions League group stage showdown with Rivers United, scheduled for Friday at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium.
The North African side touched down at Victor Attah International Airport at exactly 4:05pm on Wednesday, where they were warmly received by officials of Rivers United and the Akwa Ibom State Football Association. The contingent later moved to their designated hotel to settle in for the crucial encounter.
As part of CAF regulations, RS Berkane will hold their mandatory pre-match training session on Thursday at 5pm at the match venue. The first 15 minutes of the session will be open to journalists for coverage.
The highly anticipated fixture is expected to draw significant attention, as both sides aim to strengthen their positions in the group stage.
