Written by on 8 — 01

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and the National Sports Commission (NSC) have confirmed that all player allowances from the AFCON in Morocco have been fully settled.

According to reports in Morocco, the NSC Chairman, Shehu Dikko confirmed the payments were made in cash.

However, the winning bonuses covering four matches, remain unpaid as of this moment.

The Federal Government has stated that the funds for the winning bonuses have been processed through the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), with assurances that players will begin receiving credit alerts soon.

As at the time of this report, the winning bonuses have not been cleared. No member of the squad has confirmed receipt of payment.. However, team captain Wilfred Ndidi has appealed for calm within the camp and pledged to personally cover the bonuses if the Federal Government, through the NFF and NSC, fails to effect payment before Saturday.
