Defending champions Remo Stars are eyeing their first win of the 2025/26 Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) season when they lock horns with debutants Kun Khalifat FC at the Enyimba Stadium, Aba, on Monday, September 1, 2025.
The Sky Blue Stars kicked off their title defence with a 1-1 draw against Rivers United, but will now look to stamp their authority against a side playing in the topflight for the first time.
Head coach Daniel Ogunmodede, popularly known as Ijaball, has hinted at tactical adjustments for the clash, with Malian forward Adama Goita expected to feature more prominently in attack.
For Kun Khalifat, this marks another stern test after they impressed on opening day by holding Rangers International to a goalless draw in Enugu. Manager Obinna Uzoho and his men will hope to build on that performance and prove they can stand toe to toe with the league’s heavyweights.
